Artist Statement
Diane Haug is an eclectic artist working in various mediums especially beeswax as it leaves many opportunities for inspiration. My mixed media and collage pieces incorporate the beeswax as well as hand colored papers and fibers. She also book making as well loving the paper and fibers. She doesn't set out to produce art about one subject or another or to create artwork relating to anything special but as her portfolio developed she began to notice a pattern of textures and colors she hadn't intended but is now pleased with.

Her favorite color is red—everything red. Red is the color of warmth and pleasure. Her work is a reflection of who she is.
